Thank you for coming together to pay for the printing of the petitions and all your hard work circulating. Though we did not meet our goal of 125,000 signatures, we laid down a foundation of education against Ranked Choice Voting and the All-Candidate Primary across the state with each one of the thousands of conversations we had.

The GOOD
•(201) Prohibits Ranked Choice Voting in Colorado. •(202) Preserves Nominations for Ballot Access through Caucus and Assembly, also by petition. •(278) Closed Primaries. Partisan Primary Ballots chosen by plurality of votes. |
The BAD
•Ranked Choice Voting or Instant Runoff General Election. •All-Candidate, All-Party, All-Voters “Jungle Primary.” The ballot title and submission clause as designated and fixed by the Board is as follows: Shall there be a change to the Colorado Revised Statutes creating new election processes for certain federal and state offices, and, in connection therewith, creating a new all-candidate primary election for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, governor, attorney general, secretary of state, treasurer, CU board of regents, state board of education, and the Colorado state legislature; allowing voters to vote for any one candidate per office, regardless of the voter’s or candidate’s political party affiliation; providing that the four candidates for each office who receive the most votes advance to the general election; and in the general election, allowing voters to rank candidates for each office on their ballot, adopting a process for how the ranked votes are tallied, and determining the winner to be the candidate with the highest number of votes in the final tally? •Petition-Only Access to Primary Ballot, No Nominations. •Special Vacancy Elections - months of no representation •Timely Reporting of Election Results - Start counting 2 weeks early and report as you count |

The All-Candidate Open Primary will disenfranchise political party member's votes.
The All-Candidate Primary will disenfranchise your vote. The candidate with the most financial backing (who is bought and paid for by dark money) will win the attention and the votes of the vast majority of uninformed voters. Political parties will have no meaning in the All-Candidate Primary without nominations. We all rely on the party designation to give us our basic understanding of who a candidate is. Unaffiliated Voters rely on the party affiliation of candidates as much as party members. Without the political parties an All-Candidate Primary ballot could have 50 candidates (see example below) vying for the same office and you will have to research each candidate from the ground up to learn who to vote for. You can predict that the candidate with the most dark money backing them would win such an election giving the people no representation. This is a nonpartisan issue. The CO Democrat Chairman Murib understands the threat to our parties and the dangers of dark money in Colorado elections. CO Republican chairman Williams has also stated he is opposed to Thiry's agenda. |
The 2022 election in Alaska for congress had 48 Candidates.
